Artist Statement

My primary motivation for creating artwork is rooted in the desire to express my feelings with honesty. Through art, I explore my emotions and thoughts, conveying them visually. I approach personal, social, and political issues with emotional authenticity, recognizing how emotion connects people to my work. My art spans diverse themes, but at its core, it seeks to evoke an emotional response and provide a space for expressing and processing complex feelings.

While emotions can bring joy, they also have the potential to lead to mental health challenges. Many people struggle with emotions, especially in a society that often views those who struggle with them as weak. This leads many to suppress rather than explore their feelings. Drawing from my own experiences with emotions like anxiety, sadness, and depression, I focus on creating works that explore and express emotion itself. I refer to these pieces as "Emotional Sculptures."

In my recent work, I find myself drawn to the movement of water, waves, and liquids, which inspire my exploration of emotions that are not static but ever-changing and sometimes dynamic. These emotions, like the movement of water, are in constant flux, shifting in intensity and form. Through these works, I aim to create a space where both myself and viewers can engage with emotions in a way that feels alive and fluid, processing them through their own personal experiences.
